Update #16 Wednesday, April 1 @ 6:31pm

Dear Fusion Families,

Today, April 1 is Census Day.  As you phone, text or email your census information, talk to your children about the questions and the people in your household. Protecting our families during this community health crisis is the reason that our schools will be closed until May 29 but learning will still continue.  You count, your family counts, our community counts.  Stay safe and healthy!

Update #15 Tuesday, March 31 @5:38pm

Dear Fusion Families,

As you protect your family from the coronavirus, also watch out for scams and fraud.  The IRS will soon send stimulus checks to help many families.  They will NOT use text messages, phone calls or Western Union.  If you receive such a message, please delete it.  Never give out your personal information or your children's social security numbers in response.  Be safe!

Update #14  Monday, March 30 @ 5:17pm

Fusion Families,

A letter is in the mail to you with progress reports for the third quarter and information about free meals for children and phone numbers for internet service.  Please enjoy the sunshine this week and stay safe!

Update #13 Thursday, March 26 @ 5:20pm

Dear Fusion Students,

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Stanislaus County Office of Education and all local schools have extended school closures through May 1, 2020.  Fusion Charter students will continue to work online at home and may walk or drive to pick up breakfast and lunch, which is free for children ages 2 through 18 at Crowell, Cunningham, Earl, Julien, Osborn, Turlock Junior High School, and Wakefield from 9:30 through 12:30.  If you live too far to walk, the Turlock Unified bus is making food deliveries.

If you need help locating the delivery stop nearest you, please call 209-667-9047 or send a text message at 209-417-8354 (English) or 209-587-1904 (Spanish).

Update #12 Tuesday, March 24 @ 6:12pm

Dear Fusion Students,

Are you able to access your schoolwork?  Please open this link to a survey where you can tell us if you have a Chromebook and wifi https://forms.gle/rdZd9R16b1WLD7Gu5 This is not an anonymous survey.  We want to help you get access. If you have already completed the survey, you may update it with any changes.  Thank you.

Update #11 Monday, March 23 @ 7:45pm

Although there will be no state tests during the school shutdown, all Fusion students still have the opportunity to earn graduation credits.  Contact your teacher for help getting online or send a text to 209-417-8354.  Also remember to pick up a free breakfast and lunch at any one of seven Turlock Unified distribution sites. Stay safe and healthy!

We do not want to leave you out!

As always, the safety and wellness of our Spartan community is our priority. Fusion Charter encourages all Spartans to practice social distancing by avoiding crowded areas.  Continue to wash hands frequently, avoid touching your face, cover your cough or sneeze, and stay home if you feel sick. Unless TUSD extends the date, Fusion will reopen on Monday, April 20.

Sincerely,

Susan Nisan, Principal

Update #2 Thursday, March 12, 2020 @ 7:16pm

Dear Fusion Families, information from the county health department is updated frequently. Fusion has placed a message on the school website at www.fusioncharter.org with the latest news. While local schools are advised to remain open, Fusion is an independent study school with online curriculum. Any student may access assignments from any computer or phone with internet access. Students with family members in high-risk categories, such as the sick and elderly, may choose to work from home.

Update #1 Monday, March 9, 2020 @ 5:17pm

Dear Fusion Families, We are sanitizing all frequently-touched surfaces and taking steps to keep students and staff healthy. We need your help to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and other flu viruses at Fusion. Please remind all family members to wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Stay home when sick and cover your cough or sneeze. Call the school for more information about how to complete work at home. Fusion will send out frequent messages to keep you updated on the status of our school. Thank you.
